Through an historical study of early electronic instruments (Theremin, Ondes Martenot, Mixtur Trautonium), synthesizers (Moog, Buchla, EMS, VCS3) and computer music systems (especially MUSIC x programs), the author analyses the relationships between electroacoustic instruments/devices and musical gesture.
