The author presents several computer music studios in various countries (see the table of contents). For each studio, he includes the address, type of institution, staff, areas of activity, hardware installation, proposed hardware developments, access to computers, availability of technical assistance, operating systems, turnaround/response time characteristics and some comments.
It is completed by two publications: A Computer Music Repertory by Marc Battier, Jacques Arveiller and Giuseppe Englert, and Activities and Resources in Computer Music by Graig Harris and Stephen Pope.
