An autobiography by José Vicente Asuar, including references to his early experiences composing electronic music in Chile during the 50s. Asuar composed Variaciones Espectrales in 1959, probably the first piece created in Latin America using only electronic sounds. In 1970 he used a computer to calculate part of his instrumental piece Forms I. The article also includes a catalog with Asuar's main musical works composed between 1951 and 1972.
