Denis Dufour presents his career from his first musical studies to today. He explains his choice to compose acousmatic music and his role at the GRM. In the second part of this conversation, he analyses several different aspects of his acousmatic and instrumental works (Bocalises, Messe à l'usage des vieillards, Douze mélodies acousmatiques, Notre besoin de consolation est impossible à rassasier, Le Lis vert, Le Labyrinthe de l'amour, Bazar punaise) in terms of aesthetics, material, space, sound transformations, technologies and relationships with other art forms (e.g., theatre, literature).
