From the CEC discussion on gender and electroacoustic music, the author presents three positions. The first position is the idea that men and women are equal and the question is “Why are there so few female composers?”. The second position believes in differences between men and women and focuses on female emotionality. The third position assumes multiple differences between people. The author defends this last position to help explain the differences between men and women in electroacoustic music.
