In this very brief paper, the authors describe the Digital Dance Interface - a wireless interface that uses bending sensors attached to a dancer to measure the angles of limbs, allowing a dancer to interactively control certain musical parameters. This paper has a companion paper: Siegel, W., Two Compositions for Interactive Dance. In Proceedings of the 1999 International Computer Music Conference: San Francisco, CA: ICMA: 56-59.
