The author presents his musical research on the virtual reconstruction of Vitruvius's vessels. The roman architect realised resonating vases based on musical theories and used these in various theaters. Rob Godman realised models of these vases with an additive synthesis program using MAX/MSP. His patches are used in several sound installations (Installation, Nova Sound System, Cycle Sound System) and a live electronics work (Inside the Eye of Silence). He also presents an old work that explored the spatial dimension: Ephemaral Cube/Solid.
