'Blip, Buzz, Blurp': The Challenge of Teaching New Ways to Listen

In this brief article, the authors note that the challenge of teaching new ways to listen discourages many music theory teachers from including electroacoustic music in the classroom. To address this they have devised a system that involves identifying certain fundamental parameters within electroacoustic works that will easily lead to interpretative conclusions.
