This keynote address is in fact a plea to people throughout the electroacoustic music community to a) work a bit more at foundation levels to allow those interested easier access to understanding, and b) to seek greater cohesion in research, development and musical works. This conference was the annual Brazilian Computer Music meeting which forms part of the larger computer society in Brazil.
