In this paper, the authors present the concepts and techniques used in a series of location-based multimedia works. These works employ techniques form interactive music and apply these in new contexts, particularly concerning the interplay between sound and image. The works are installation-based, yet extend beyond the confines of the gallery creating a system where persons inside the gallery can audio-visually interact with persons outside the gallery. This system is facilitated through the use of advanced mobile phone technology.
