Collaboration

The collective action of two or more people towards a mutually shared aim or outcome. This may extend beyond electroacoustic music to collaboration across art forms (e.g. musician and dancer or video artist) or disciplines (e.g. musician and computer programmer or hardware designer). Although in evidence in virtually all forms of traditional and contemporary music-making, the term has not been used as widely as it is in, for example, theatre, performance art, dance or the visual arts.

Collaborazione

L'azione collettiva di due o più persone che lavorano ad un risultato o con uno scopo condiviso. Questa può estendersi dalla musica elettroacustica alla collaborazione tra diverse forme d'arte (per es. un musicista con un danzatore o un video artista) o discipline (per es. un musicista con un programmatore o un progettista hardware). Sebbene il termine sia stato più volte messo in luce nel processo di creazione della musica tradizionale e contemporanea, non lo è stato altrettanto nel teatro, nella performance art, nella danza o nelle arti visive.
