In this brief paper, the author describes two compositions involving interactive dance that he created as part of the Digital Dance research project at DIEM (Danish Institute of Electroacoustic Music) 1995-1998. The goal of this project was to develop a method of computer music composition that allowed the dancer to directly influence musical processes. This paper has a companion paper: Siegel, W., Jacobsen, J., Composing for the Digital Dance Interface.
