This report concerning electroacoustic music in Latin America was commissioned by UNESCO for its DigiArts worldwide project. It is complimentary to another report UNESCO commissioned earlier by the same researcher: Historical aspects of Electroacoustic Music in Latin America: From the Pioneering to the Present Days. Most of the content of both reports are available online at the DigiArts section of UNESCO's web site.

Este informe sobre aspectos históricos del desarrollo de la música electroacústica en América Latina fue realizado por encargo de la UNESCO para su proyecto DigiArts. Dal Farra produjo antes otro informe, también a partir de un encargo de la UNESCO: Historical aspects of Electroacoustic Music in Latin America: From the Pioneering to the Present Days (Aspectos Históricos de la Música Electroacústica en América Latina: de los pioneros a la actualidad); ambos trabajos no son simplemente versiones en idiomas diferentes (español e inglés) del mismo texto, son escritos complementarios que comparten solo parcialmente su contenido.
