In this article, the authors discuss the aesthetic and practical considerations related to the Compact Disc (CD) - the recording medium that offers the potential for universal availability of digital recordings of computer music compositions. They present an overview of CD production/post-production, and describe CD distribution systems that compliment and/or supplant traditional concert music settings.
