From an analysis of acousmatic sound qualities, the author investigates space in electroacoustic and computer music. First, he presents acousmatic approach to space by making the distinction between composed space and the listening space. Then, taking on the notion of landscape in Wishart's theory, the author defends the crucial steps of acousmatic creation leading to public performance. Diffusion can destroy or reveal a piece.
