This article proposes how the author went about creating a ‘virtually acoustic' speech synthesis program for use on MIDI synthesizers including the Access Virus described in the preceding chapter (see Kemper and Stelkens, 1999). After presenting the various approaches to modelling, the author describes how this software was conceived.
