In this paper, the author describes and discusses some significant and general tendencies in LatinAmerican electroacoustic and computer music developed by both individuals and groups of composers. He emphasizes those trends that are considered to be the most important, and considers the relationship between the (lack of) infrastructure and the possible aesthetic results.
