In this paper, the author offers an overview of the Klangdom, an audio spatialisation system developed at the Institut für Musik und Akustik (IfMA) at the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie Karlsruhe (ZKM). The system consists of thirty-nine loudspeakers that are hung on four sliding tracks that allow for easy reconfiguration. He also describes the Zirkonium sound spatialisation software system, which can be used to control the Klangdom system in performance.
