A genre of dance music originally known as Jungle, drum ‘n' bass developed in London and Bristol in the early 1990s. Influenced by dub reggae, HipHop, and Techno, it is characterised by rapid digitized breakbeats and a slow bass groove. Among the myriad of sub-genres of drum ‘n' bass are Jump Up, TechStep, Hardstep, and drill ‘n' bass
