In this article, the author presents the results of experiments with data reduction in the three dimensions defining sound; amplitude, frequency and time. He discusses three approaches, (1) data reduction for the time-varying amplitude functions of each partial, (2) data reduction for the time-varying frequency functions of each partial, and (3) prediction of the starting and ending times of each partial.
